Fumie “Amy” (Ohtsuka) Mathieson, 84, of Kittanning, formerly of Gilpin Twp., PA passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.
A daughter of the late Bunji Otsuka and Mino (Koyama) Otsuka, she was born February 20, 1933, in Tokyo, Japan.
Fumie was employed as a cook with the former Bonello’s Restaurant and Lenape Heights Country Club. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed tending to her plants, knitting and crocheting, making dolls, and cooking for her family.
Survivors include her two daughters, Marilyn Brock (Christopher) of Manorville, NY, and Kathleen Mathieson of Aldie, VA; three grandchildren, Larissa Meletti, Shane Roscher and Braeden Roscher; and a great-grandson, Maddox Meletti.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur L. Mathieson.
Friends welcomed by her family on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 10 AM on Friday, Sept. 15, with Pastor Jonathan Potter officiating. Interment following at Forks Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, 253 Forks Church Rd., Gilpin Twp.
