William Baylor Obituary

William “Bill” Baylor died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at his home in Leechburg, PA.  Bill was born December 1, 1948 to Fred and Alma Baylor.  Bill was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bob, Joe, Jerry “Bull”; and a sister, Janet.  Bill is survived by his only son, Billy.

Bill lived his entire life in the Leechburg area and graduated from Kiski Area High School in 1968.  Bill was employed by Wean United in Vandergrift, where he worked in the open hearth department.  He was also employed by the Hyde Park Foundry, where he retired from five years ago.

Bill was a member of the American Legion in Vandergrift, the Slovak Club in East Vandergrift, and the Kenlock Fireman’s Club in New Kensington.  Even though Bill belonged to all these clubs, his favorite hangout was the Crossroads Inn.  Here he spent numerous hours with friends and family talking, laughing, and watching sports.

Bill will be sadly missed by family and friends, yet please always remember Bill’s motto, “Enjoy Life.”
