Violet Ilene (Stathers) Lants, 76, of Gilpin Township, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Quality Life Services in Sarver.

A daughter of the late George Stathers and Edna (Knestrick) Stathers, she was born October 10, 1945 in Brownsville, PA.

Violet was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed cooking and baking as well as playing cards and corn hole with her friends and family.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Louis John Lants of Gilpin Township; two sons, Brian Lants (Amanda) of Purcellville, VA, Keith W. Lants of Leechburg; five grandchildren, Ben, Nathan, Johnathan, Christopher, Jacob; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Knestrick of Dayton, PA, Keith Stathers (Carolyn) of Nitro, WV; and a sister, Shirley Davis (Tom) of Pawleys Island, SC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Howard Stathers, Bill Stathers, Lee Stathers and Carl Knestrick.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m.  Interment following at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Rd., Lower Burrell, PA  15068.
