Sue C. (Bowser) Bruno, 93, of Allegheny Township, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at Quality Life Services of Apollo.

A daughter of the late Curt Bowser and Agnes (Arner) Bowser, she was born June 22, 1930 in Freeport, PA.

Sue was a 1948 graduate of Freeport High School.  She was a devout Christian and devoted member of the First Baptist Church in Leechburg.  She had worked as an activity director for the former West Haven Nursing Home in Washington Township for 18 years, as well as a cafeteria worker for Kiski Area High School for 10 years. But most importantly, she was a homemaker who treasured spending time with her family.  Sue enjoyed golfing and traveling as pastimes.

Survivors include her three sons, Timothy Bruno (Colleen) of Allegheny Township, Patrick Bruno (Joy) of Allegheny Township, Eric Bruno (Candace) of Monroeville; five grandchildren, Miranda (Thomas), Thomas, Savannah, Allison and Jackson Bruno; two great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Isabella Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews with whom Sue was very close.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Gabriel “Gabe” Bruno in 2018; and sisters, Gertrude Balentine and Josephine Wolfe.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, where funeral ceremonies will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, with Pastor Jonathan Potter officiating.  Private entombment will be held at the Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum in Lower Burrell.
