Shirley Lynn (Ross) Pogany, 64, of Vandergrift, PA, formerly of Allegheny Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 1, 2021 at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

A daughter of the late Lawrence Ross and Loretta G. (Kesler) Ross, she was born June 27, 1957, in Natrona Heights.

Shirley lived in Allegheny Township most of her life until she married Joseph Paul Pogany on February 15, 1992 and moved to Vandergrift. She enjoyed making crafts, writing poems, going to garage sales, and spending time with her dogs, Daisy and Chanel.

Survivors include her husband Joe of 29 years of Vandergrift; a daughter, Tiffany Pogany; a sister, Bernice Roberts (Perry) of Gilpin Township; a brother, Samuel Ross (Judy) of Sarver; a nephew, Adam Roberts; and a niece, Marcy Granata.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private family viewing will be held at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051). Private interment will be held at Brookland Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
