Ruth A. (Klingensmith) Rich, 77, of Vandergrift, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in her residence.

A daughter of the late Howard L. Klingensmith and Katherine (Smail) Klingensmith, she was born on August 3, 1947, in Leechburg, PA.

Ruth had been employed by Lee’s Lanes Bowling Alley as a cleaner for many years, as well as working with Independent Home Health Care.  She enjoyed playing yahtzee, bowling, scratch-off tickets, going to casinos, spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and camping.

Survivors include her husband of 28 years, John W. Rich of Vandergrift; sons, William Joseph Wilds (Anna) of Parks Township and Jason Edward Wilds (Billie) of Saltsburg; stepsons, Paul Rich and Vince Rich, both of Leechburg; stepdaughters, Jennifer Libent (Bill) of Lower Burrell and Diane Emminger (Greg) of Leechburg; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Klingensmith of Leechburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Dean Wilds; and her son, Joseph Dean Wilds Jr.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, where additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, with Pastor Jonathan Potter officiating.  Private interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth may be made to the favorite charity of the donor’s choice.
