Ruth Agnes (Conrad) Erb

Ruth Agnes (Conrad) Erb, 71, of Allegheny Twp., PA, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018 in her residence.

A daughter of the late Albert Joseph Conrad and Mary Katherine (Shuler) Conrad, she was born January 15, 1947 in Butler, PA.

Ruth was employed as a certified nurses’ aid (CNA) by Valley View Nursing Home and Fair Winds Manor Nursing Center in Winfield Twp. before retirement.  She was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp.  Ruth volunteered for Community Services at Allegheny Twp. VFC #1 and at the St. Vincent de Paul Store in Apollo.  She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and watching “Let’s Make A Deal.”

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Donald L. Erb of Allegheny Twp., PA; two sons, Paul J. Erb of Allegheny Twp., PA and Christopher J. Erb (Shelby) of Hyde Park, PA; two brothers, Paul Conrad of Butler, PA and Robert Conrad of Arkansas; a sister, Grace Crispin (Charles) of East Butler, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Roselie Fundark.

Friends welcomed by her family on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).  There will be no Parting Prayers of Transfer at the funeral home.  Everyone is asked to please meet at the church for her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, August 22, at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp., with the Reverend Arnel Estrella officiating.  Private interment will be held at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Twp.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ruth may be made to the Parkinson Foundation of Western PA, 575 Lincoln Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15202.
