Ronald E. Duff, 77, of Vandergrift, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 in his residence.
A son of the late Edgar Duff and Ruth Olive (Large) Duff, he was born May 22, 1944, in New Kensington, PA.
Ron had been employed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel for 31 ½ years in various positions, but mainly working on the “71” line until his retirement in 1999. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Viet Nam War. Ron was a member of the Kiski Unity Free Methodist Church in Allegheny Township. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, cutting grass, solving word search puzzles, and especially spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Laurie L. (McGee) Duff of Vandergrift; a son, Scott Duff of Leechburg; a daughter, Heather Gray (Francis Jr.) of Leechburg; a grandson, Connor Duff; a brother, Roy Duff (Brenda) of Apollo; three sisters, Marilyn Harmon (Richard) of Vandergrift, Carol Chambers (Ron) of Apollo; Barbara Everhart (Rev. Joel) of Hanover; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be welcomed by his family on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 from 2:30-4:30 and 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051). Additional visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, with Pastor Paul Eckenrod officiating. Interment following at Greenwood Memorial Park, 104 Melwood Rd., Lower Burrell.
