Robert L. Watson Obituary

Robert L. Watson, 87, of New Kensington (formerly of West Leechburg), passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born on March 8, 1938, in Vandergrift, PA.


Bob was a devoted member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Leechburg, PA. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked as a meat cutter for several local supermarkets throughout a career spanning more than 50 years.


He is survived by his daughters, Bobbi Lee of New Kensington and Ruth Wilds of Leechburg; granddaughter, Courtney Chamblee (Zach); and great-grandson, Watson.


Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alfretta Watson, and his beloved wife of 56 years, Rosa Mae Watson.


Friends will be welcomed by his family on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2-6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 111 Siberian Ave., Leechburg.  Funeral ceremonies will be held at the church on Saturday, October 25, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jonathan Potter officiating.  Private interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
