Robert George Frank, 63, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, in his residence.
A son of Ronald E. Frank and the late Mary Frances (Canil) Frank, he was born March 9, 1960 in New Kensington, PA.
Bob graduated from Leechburg High School and worked at the Leechburg Advance Printing Company while attending Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh. He then worked for General Electric in Europe, Turkey and the Philippines on military radar installations. Later in his career, he worked for GE Medical Systems in the Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio areas where he installed and maintained MRI and medical imaging equipment.
Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leechburg from a very young age. He was a pilot of small engine airplanes and a model train enthusiast. He loved working on cars and was also an amateur radio operator and avid gardener. Bob enjoyed traveling all over the world and camping with his family, whom he loved very much. He had a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Josephine (Elvior) Frank of Natrona Heights; his father of Gilpin Township; a brother, Ronald A. (Elsie) Frank of Johnstown, Ohio; a sister, Elaine Ferguson (Joseph) of Leechburg; a nephew, Ronald Frank; five nieces, Kimberly Ferguson, Karen Ferguson, Christina McCrea (Chuck), Deborah Frank, Bethany Avery (Dan); and aunt and uncle, Norma and Charles Adamchuk of West Leechburg.
He was preceded in death by his mother, just one month ago.
Private services for the family have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. Interment will be privately held at Mt. Airy Cemetery in Natrona Heights.
