Robert Nelson Bowser Jr., 73, of Evans City, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024.
A son of the late Robert Nelson Bowser Sr. and Gwendolyn (Schantz) Bowser, he was born on August 26, 1951, in Natrona Heights, PA.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War. He had been employed as a supervisor by All-American Framers in Evans City for over 30 years. He also worked for Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Bagdad as a slitter operator for 18 years prior to retirement. Robert was a member of the Kiski Valley Assembly of God in Leechburg, the Leechburg Moose Lodge #102, and the Slickville American Legion. His favorite Bible passage was Psalm 23. He enjoyed gardening, working, fishing, sitting around the fire, being in the woods, and driving the back roads.
Survivors include his sons, Scott A. Bowser (Michele) of Evans City, Bryan K. Bowser (Tammy) of Leechburg; a sister, Karen Kridler (Jamie) of Columbus, OH; significant other, Suzanne Spanoudakis of Apollo; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step children; thirteen step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald L. Bowser; two sisters, Marlene Hackney and Evelyn M. Mago.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 2-6 p.m. at the West Leechburg Firemen’s Recreation Hall, 1116 Gosser St., Leechburg, PA 15656. Private interment will be made at the convenience of the family.
