Reta J. (Myers) Klingensmith

Reta J. (Myers) Klingensmith, 87, of Apollo, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at UPMC East in Monroeville..

A daughter of the late Milo R. Myers and Jennie R. (Myers) Myers, she was born on April 30, 1934, in Vandergrift.

Reta was a homemaker and of the Lutheran faith.  She enjoyed creating crafts of any kind and attending craft shows and flea markets.  She could always be found behind a camera with her love of photography.  She was especially drawn to taking photos of Autumn leaves and Fall scenery.

Survivors include two sons, Glen R. Klingensmith (Nancy) of Parks Township, Daniel Klingensmith (Nikki) of Apollo; two daughters, Cathy Dominick (Tim) of Freeport, Joyce Klingensmith (Eric) of West Leechburg; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Dean Myers (Brandy) of Kittanning; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Howard Klingensmith in 2017; a great-grandson, Nathaniel Lee Cummings; and three sisters, Alvina Polka, Eleanor Shellhammer, Elise Reed.

A private family viewing will be held at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) followed by private interment at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.  Donations may be made in memory of Reta to the charity of the donor’s choice.
