Obituary
Rebecca J. (Mozga) Hutcherson, 74, of Leechburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.
A daughter of the late Carl Mozga and Margaret (Chikar) Mozga, she was born July 6, 1949 in Natrona Heights, PA.
Rebecca had been employed as a switch board operator with Alltel Communications and Allegheny Health Network for over 40 years combined. She was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg. Becky’s daughter and grandchildren were the light of her life; and she valued her time spent with them. Her dog, Roxanne, and cat, Ty, were her faithful companions. She also enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and trying her luck on scratch-off lottery tickets.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle L. Hack of Gilpin Township; two grandchildren, Christian Hack and Maggie Hack; brothers, Carl A. Mozga (Sandy) of Gilpin Township, George Mozga (Jan) of Washington Township; a sister, Betty Danka of Gilpin Township; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Becky was also blessed to be well-cared for by Erin “Ernie” Gruber of Leechburg, who was like a daughter to her.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
