Raymond G. “George” Kotvas, 84, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.
A son of the late Steve Kotvas and Helen Elizabeth (Orzechowski) Kotvas, he was born May 4, 1937, in West Leechburg.
Raymond had been a brick mason for 10 years prior to being employed as a pipefitter by Allegheny Ludlum Steel for 40 years. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. Raymond was a member of the American Legion Post #868 in Lower Burrell, the International Union of America #27 PA, the Eagles Lodge in Kittanning, and the former St. Martha Roman Catholic Church in Leechburg. He enjoyed watching the stock market and making investments.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joyce A. (Raney) Kotvas of West Leechburg; a son, George D. Kotvas (Julie) of Canonsburg; a granddaughter, Jordan Lucy Kotvas; three brothers, Martin S. Kotvas (Donna Jean) of Sigel, Leonard J. Kotvas (Diane) of West Leechburg, John W. Kotvas (Sandra) of Allegheny Township; a sister, Patricia Ann Tenerowicz (Henry) of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051). Private interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in West Leechburg at the convenience of the family.
