Phyllis A. (Mihalik) Mottillo, 94, of Leechburg, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in her residence.
A daughter of the late Joseph Mihalik and Sofia (Kanistak) Mihalik, she was born November 30, 1927 in Leechburg, PA.
Phyllis was a 1945 graduate of Leechburg Area High School and member of Christ The King Parish in Gilpin Township. She had been employed as waitress at the former Leo Moores Lunch Room in Leechburg, and the former Joseph S. Finch Co. in Schenley on the bottling line. Phyllis was a loving caretaker for her entire family, including babysitting all of her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and solving word search and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include her son, Adelmo W. Mottillo Jr. (Christine) of Leechburg; a daughter, Linnette L. Stancik (Thomas) of Mars; three grandchildren, Dr. Thomas Stancik (Lauren), Dalton Mottillo (Stephanie) and Elizabeth Mottillo (Manny Ibarra); six great-grandchildren, Alina Stancik, Gianna Mottillo, Sierra Mottillo, Camryn Mottillo, Sofia Ibarra, Lorenzo Ibarra; sister-in-law, Betty Mihalik of Leechburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Adelmo W. Mottillo Sr. in 2016; brothers, Frank and Andrew Mihalik; sisters, Pauline Kovalski, Anna Pacuch, Mary Ann Mihalik.
The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 has been entrusted with private family arrangements. Private interment will be held at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.
