Peter Wasyluk, 97, of Zelienople, formerly of West Leechburg, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.

A son of the late Charles Wasyluk and Stella (Kostecki) Wasyluk, he was born November 3, 1927, in Bairdford, PA.

Peter graduated from Leechburg High School in 1945.  He was a decorated U.S. Navy veteran having honorably served during World War II and the Korean War time periods.  Peter had been employed as a roller in the Cold Mill Dept. of Allegheny Ludlum Steel at the West Leechburg works for 43 years before retiring in 1989.  He was a member of the Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg, the Hungarian Club, the USWA Local 1138 Retirees, the American Legion Post 114 in Vandergrift and the VFW Post 92 in Lower Burrell.

He is survived by a son, David T. Wasyluk (Lori) of Mogadore, Ohio; a daughter, Lori Kushik (Mark) of Cranberry Township; a grandson, Scott Kushik; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Thomas) Wasyluk; a brother, Michael Wasyluk; two sisters, Ann Tokarek and Nell Corcetti; and nephew, Richard Tokarek.

Friends will be welcomed by his family on Friday, August 29, 2025, from 9-11 a.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, immediately followed by funeral ceremonies with the Rev. Gary J. Lyon officiating.  Interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township where military honors will be conducted by the Vandergrift Veterans Honor Guard.  In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made to Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church, 271 Main Street, Leechburg, PA 15656.
