Paul N. Sober, age 93, of Gilpin Township, PA passed away on December 10, 2024, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park, PA.

Son of the late Robert M. and Verna Mae (Lookabaugh) Sober, Paul was born on March 2, 1931. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 73 years, Marjorie J. (Yetter) Sober; and his two brothers, Harold D. Sober and Glenn E. Sober.

Paul was a lifetime member of Hebron Lutheran Church.  He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, 32nd Degree Mason, Syria Shriner and Leechburg Lodge #577. He enlisted in the Air Force and served four years during the Korean War (1952-1956). Paul worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation for 41 years and retired as General Foreman of the Cold Roll Department.  He enjoyed camping, gardening, fishing, and building and flying model airplanes. 

Surviving family include his sister, Dorothy K. Sober of Cabot, PA; son, James R. (Kathy) of Jamestown; daughter, Jennifer A. Tabacjar (Carl) of Allison Park; grandsons, Bryan J. Sober (Julie) of Chagrin Falls, OH, Christopher M. Tabacjar (fiancé Sarah Busch) of West Winfield, NY, Austin M. Sober of Madison, WI, Brendan S. Tabacjar and Alexander M. Tabacjar of Allison Park; great-grandson, Lucas Paul Sober.

Friends will be welcomed by his family on Monday, December 16, 2024, from 11a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 1p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with Pastor Adam Salinas officiating.  Private interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Paul to C.O.R.E. (Center for Organ Recovery & Education) at 204 Sigma Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
