Paul E. Grantz, 87, of West Leechburg, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.
A son of the late James Grantz and Ethel (Kerr) Grantz, he was born March 12, 1933, in Pittsburgh.
Paul was employed as a metallurgical technician at Allegheny Ludlum, Bagdad plant, for over 40 years before retiring in 1996. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean War. He was a member of Christ the King Parish in Gilpin Twp. Paul enjoyed reading in his spare time, as well as spending time with his family.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Grantz (Mary-Claire) of West Leechburg; and one grandson, Matthew T. Grantz (Jennifer).
In addition to his parents, Paul was sadly preceded in death a week ago by his wife of 60 wonderful years, Patricia A. (Zoldak) Grantz. Also preceding him in death was a brother who died in infancy; and a sister, Lois Walsh.
Friends will be welcomed by his family on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B. as celebrant. All visitors are asked to respectfully follow current state guidelines of required masks/face coverings, social distancing and gathering restrictions. Private interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo. The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051), has been entrusted with arrangements.
