Paul D. Batchelor Obituary

Paul D. Batchelor (Batch), 73, of Leechburg, passed away at his residence on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Born on March 26, 1953, in Pittsburg PA, Paul was the son of the late Kenyon S. Batchelor and Mary E. (McFarland) Batchelor.

Paul was a proud 1971 graduate of Kiski Area High School. He dedicated over 20 years of his career to the slitting department at Allegheny Ludlum Steel in West Leechburg before retiring in 2005.  Following his retirement, he continued working as a driver for R.V. Coleman Trucking.

Paul was an active member of the community, serving as an officer and trustee of the Leechburg Moose Lodge #103.  Paul was also a member of the Leechburg Elks, the Sokol Club, and the American Legion of Vandergrift Post 114.

Paul found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, listening to music, attending concerts, and spending time riding his Harley-Davidson.  He had a deep love for dogs, and over the years, rescued at least 14, giving them care and a home.

He is survived by two brothers, John L. Batchelor (Noreen) of Milan, OH, and Thomas A. Batchelor (Jacqueline) of Reno, NV.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on May 2, 2026, from 12-3 p.m. at the Marconi Club, 135 River Ave., Leechburg, PA 15656.  Private interment has been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
