Mary Ann (Eisler) Gilliam, 71, of Vandergrift, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville.

A daughter of the late Lawrence Eisler and Bertha (Howard) Eisler, she was born June 28, 1954, in Washington, DC.

This wonderful woman accomplished too many things to list, but here are the major highlights.  Mary Ann was always the independent woman who first started working as a secretary receptionist bookkeeper and all-around sanity holder at American Plate Glass in Maryland for 14 years. She was also payroll clerk at the DC superior court for two years in the 70s. Ever the avid interior designer, artist and crafter, she started her own business in the 90s called Country Crafts by May. She then had a foray with owning an ice cream and craft store in Emmitsburg, MD, called Forever Colorfest. She even substitute taught art for elementary school children just to be able to spend more time with her daughter, who she called her miracle baby because she had her at age 40. She spent her entire existence caregiving for others. All her years on this planet were dedicated to helping others, animals and humans alike, raising a daughter for the last 31 years, as well as caregiving for her own mom the last 13 years of her life. She was and always will be superwoman to everyone she met. God gained a faithful angel.  She's definitely dancing in heaven.

She is survived by daughter, Christy Gilliam of Vandergrift; three sisters, Fran Goodsite (Curtis) of Williard, Ohio, Patricia Olson (Russell) of Elkridge, MD, and Diane Mann (Harley) of Las Vegas, NV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Jimmy; and a sister, Rosemary Ford.
