Mary Ann (Bashline) Letterio, 86, of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, passed away October 30, 2022, at Oak Grove Center of Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Township from the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. She joins her beloved husband of 58 years, Emidio “Legs” Letterio, who left us June 17, 2013.
She is survived by her grateful children, Lance, Nancyann and Larry (Darlene Bosin) Letterio, her cherished granddaughter, Marian Letterio (Brandon Bergstrom) Emanuelson, her niece and goddaughter, Mary Kate Bashline McCormack of Kyle, Texas, and her special aunt, Pat Kaminski. In addition to her spouse, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ardale and Mary (Meidus) Bashline, her brother, Virgil “Skip” Bashline, and her daughter-in-law, Noel Abbott Letterio.
Mary Ann graduated in 1953 from Leechburg Area High School, where she developed many lifelong, treasured friendships. Following graduation from New Kensington Commercial School, Mary Ann was employed as executive assistant to the plant manager of PPG Glass in Russellton. She was a devoted Catholic and member of the former St. Catherine of Alexandria Church (now Christ the King), where she served as president and secretary of the Ladies Guild. Mary Ann was a breast cancer survivor who inspired many through her participation as a speaker at cure related events. She was featured on billboards and in an ad campaign promoting cancer treatment and care in 2003. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, walking her dogs, writing poetry, reading, praying, working crossword puzzles and decorating cakes.
Friends will be received at Christ the King Church, 125 Park Road, Leechburg, PA 15656, on Monday, November 7, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow. Private interment will be held at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.

The family will be forever thankful to the staffs of Sherwood Oaks and Bridges Hospice for the dedicated care they provided.
