Marjorie Jeanne (Yetter) Sober, 90, of Leechburg, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park.
A daughter of the late Clarence E. Yetter and Clara E. (Artman) Yetter, she was born February 3, 1934 in Leechburg, PA.
Marjorie was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and new great-grandson. She was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg. Marjorie enjoyed quilting blankets for Project Linus, sewing with the ladies at her church, gardening, camping and fishing. Traveling was another one of her favorites – she and her husband Paul would travel to Florida during the Winter months for nearly 22 years.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Paul N. Sober of Leechburg; her children, James Robert Sober (Kathy) of Jamestown, and Jennifer Ann Tabacjar (Carl Jr.) of Allison Park; five grandsons, Bryan Sober (Julie) of Chagrin Falls, OH, Christopher Tabacjar (fiancé Sarah Busch) of Fayetteville, NY, Austin Sober of Madison, WI, Brendan Tabacjar of Allison Park, Alex Tabacjar of Allison Park; and her new great-grandson, Lucas Paul Sober.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald E. and Robert H. Yetter; her sisters, Bronwyn E. Hinderliter, Marilyn K. Cogley, and Mary Frances Hogg.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 1 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with Pastor Adam Carl Salinas officiating. Private interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township.
