Marjorie Jane (Smail) Henry, 87, of Gilpin Township, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Quality Life Services in Chicora.

A daughter of the late Melvin A. Smail and Laverna (Salisbury) Smail, she was born on May 26, 1937, in Leechburg, PA.

Marjorie was a homemaker and a 1955 graduate of Leechburg High School.  She was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg.  Marjorie enjoyed gardening, solving crossword puzzles, baking, and most of all spending quality time with her family.

Survivors include her sons, William W. Henry (Paula) of Gilpin Township, Timothy L. Henry (Jennifer) of Blairsville; a daughter, Cynthia L. Smietana (Andrew) of Spring Church; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a brother, Alfred L. Smail (Carol) of Upper Burrell; and a sister, Shirley Camp of Gilpin Township.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Wayne Henry in 2005; a daughter, Shirley J. Hollis; and siblings, Russell Smail, Walter Smail, James W. Smail, Samuel J. Smail, Leila L. Gradwell, Olive DiMauro, Catherine Smail.

Her family would like to thank all the staff of Quality Life Services – Chicora for their wonderful care of Marjorie during her stay there.

Private family visitation and funeral ceremonies will be held at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with private interment made at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Marjorie are suggested to the Leechburg Food Bank P.A.T.H., PO Box 127, Leechburg, PA 15656.
