Marie Glenn (Smith) Elliott, 95, of Sewickley, formerly of Leechburg, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the Masonic Village in Sewickley.

A daughter of the late Herman H. Smith and Florence (Cline) Smith, she was born February 28, 1927 in New Kensington, PA.

Marie was a 1945 graduate of Leechburg High School.  She had been employed as a receptionist and dental assistant for Dr. John Smith in Leechburg until her retirement in 1989.  Marie was a member of the Leechburg Order of the Eastern Star, the Cross Roads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg and formerly Northwood Presbyterian Church of Clearwater, Florida.  She enjoyed playing cards, reading, and needlepoint.

Survivors include her son, Wesley Elliott (Colleen) of Lower Burrell; her daughter, Diane Cready of Dunedin, FL; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett J. Elliott in 1990; a sister, Myrtle J. Smith; and a son-in-law, Barry Cready.

Arrangements are private for the family and being handled by the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.  Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Gilpin Township.  Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Masonic Village, 1000 Masonic Drive, Sewickley, PA 15143.
