Marian J. (Stitt) Shaner

Marian J. (Stitt) Shaner, 93, of Leechburg, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Quality Life Services in Apollo, PA.

She was born September 11, 1930 in Edmon, PA to the late James B. and Myrna (Pierce) Stitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Shaner, and sister, Alice Jane Ignatz.

Marian’s long career included many positions, from an Avon Consultant to a Realtor for Howard Hanna to being a greeter at Walmart in her 80s.

She is survived by her four children, Pamela Broglio, Virginia Steimer (Michael), Robert J. Shaner (Linda), and Donald Shaner, all of Leechburg; 8 grandchildren, Michael Broglio, Robert Shaner, Sam Steimer, Kim McBryar, Kelsi Tagliati, Ethan Shaner, Lindsey Shaner, and Gina Wolfe; and 12 great-grandchildren, Conner, Laney, Maggie, Patrick, Peter, Joseph, Christian, Alexander, Kendall, Shane, Gavin, and Claudia.

The family would like to thank the staff of Quality Life Services and Three Rivers Hospice for their dedication and care.

Private interment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Saltsburg PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
