Louise Ann Barone, 70, of Leechburg passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Forbes Memorial Hospital. Her cause of death was (probably) due to the steady decline of the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball organization. Her family is devastated especially because she was just getting the hang of that iPhone, and will miss her beyond measure.

Born in Leechburg on April 7, 1955, Louise worked as a dental hygienist for Doctor Ceraso and could always be counted on to stuff Christmas stockings with samples of toothpaste and floss. Quick with a smile and a laugh, mostly because she wasn’t paying attention while you were talking, Louise loved cooking for Sunday family dinners, hoarding Tupperware, vacationing at the beach, cheering on the Steelers, spending time with her family, and chatting on the phone with her sister for hours on end.

Preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Helen Pecus, Louise is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas, their children Stephanie (Zach) Jankowski and Michael Barone, her sister Elaine (Duane and Lauren) Lizik, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her impressive collection of used gift bags. While Louise adored her whole family, she unapologetically favored her grandchildren, Brady, Ella, and Lyla Jankowski.

All are welcome to celebrate Louise’s life at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, on Monday, April 28, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., followed by a Blessing service.  The family encourages anyone who has borrowed Louise’s Tupperware to return it at that time.
