Louis D. Demyanek, 85, of West Leechburg, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in his residence.
A son of the late George Demyanek and Anna (Zdina) Demyanek, he was born on February 19, 1937 in West Leechburg, PA.
Louis had been employed as an electrician by Westinghouse in Cheswick for 39 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of Christ The King Parish in Gilpin Township, the Knights of Columbus in Leechburg, and the Sokol Club in Leechburg. He was an avid fan of all Pittsburgh sports teams, but especially the Steelers. Louis enjoyed reading the newspaper, solving crossword puzzles and playing the lottery.
Survivors include his son, Mark Demyanek (Cathy) of Atlanta, GA; his daughter, Deborah L. Hoch (Dean) of Vandergrift; four grandchildren, Kate Philipps (Brad), Bryce Hoch (Danielle), Dylan Demyanek (Jennifer), Captain Derek Demyanek; three great-grandchildren, Rylie Hoch, Wyatt Hoch, Hazel Demyanek; a brother, Andrew Demyanek (Barb) of Florida; a sister, Helen Tarosky of Murrsyville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dolores L. (Mikeska) Demyanek; brothers, John and Walter Demyanek; sisters, Mary L. Demyanek, Irene Klanica, Pauline Meleason, and Justine DeLuca.
Friends will be welcomed by his family on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. immediately prior to Mass of Christian Burial at Christ The King Parish, 125 Park Road, Gilpin Township with the Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B. as celebrant. Interment following at St. Catherine Cemetery in Gilpin Township.
