Lois K. (Seybert) Shearer

Lois K. (Seybert) Shearer, 91, of Leechburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Pleasant Ridge Mature Living in Allegheny Township.

A daughter of the late George E. Seybert and Anna L. (Summerville) Seybert Reddinger, she was born May 2, 1931 in Sarah Furnace (Madison Township), Clarion County, PA.

Lois was a graduate of Rimersburg High School and a homemaker.  She loved being with her family, especially watching her grandchildren.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, decorating and listening to music.  Lois was a member of Forks-Zion Lutheran Church in Gilpin Township, where she formerly served on the church council, church choir and W.E.L.C.A.

Survivors include her eight daughters, Elaine Preslipsky of Grove City, Maxine Nemit (Richard) of Pulaski, Glenda Paul of Leechburg, Kathleen Caramellino of Gilpin Township, Patricia Newton of Gilpin Township, Eileen Coyle (John) of Conneautville, Kimberly Zimmerman (Russell) of Gilpin Township, Brenda Ribert (Rick) of Leechburg; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two brothers, Bill Seybert (Ruth) of Mercer, Roy Seybert (Beverly) of Karns City; and favorite niece, Marsha Klingensmith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn M. Shearer in 1991; an infant son; sons-in-law, Leslie Paul, Timothy Caramellino, Robert Newton; brothers, Ralph and Richard Seybert; and sisters, Annabelle Wolfe, Barbara Mortimer, Doris Seybert, Karen Lank.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 1 p.m. at Forks-Zion Lutheran Church, 253 Forks Church Rd., Gilpin Township with Rev. Jocelyn Johnston officiating.  Interment following at Forks Church Cemetery in Gilpin Township.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lois may be made to Forks-Zion Lutheran Church Food Pantry, 253 Forks Church Road, Leechburg, PA  15656.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
