Linda M. (Reid) Shaffer

Linda M. (Reid) Shaffer, 65, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A daughter of the late Don Reid and Dorothy (Burkett) Reid of Apollo, she was born January 11, 1956, in New Kensington, PA.

Linda had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Warrendale as an in-plant support worker for 24 years before retiring in 2018.  She was a member of the Orchard Hills Pentecostal Church in Spring Church.  Linda enjoyed bowling, playing the piano and singing.  Most of all, GaGa enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Douglas P. Shaffer of Leechburg; two daughters, Alessa Fleske (William) of Cheswick, Audrey Wirl (David) of West Leechburg; two grandchildren, Otto and Elle Fleske of Cheswick; her mother; a brother, Don Reid (Shawani) of West Leechburg; two sisters, Carol Ward (David) of Apollo, Denise Rupert of North Apollo; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Bollinger.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Sunday, May 23, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 24, with Pastor Lora Kline officiating.  Private interment following at Greenwood Cemetery in Lower Burrell.
