Linda Phillips Obituary

Linda A. (Ault) Phillips, 76, of Gilpin Township, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Pleasant Ridge Mature Living in Allegheny Township. Linda passed away peacefully and into eternal life and into the loving arms of the love of her life, Eugene.

A daughter of the late George B. Ault and Dorothy M. (Forsha) Ault, she was born on November 30, 1945, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Linda was of the Baptist faith, and worked several jobs in her lifetime, including the cafeteria at Leechburg School District, and as a cook at the Willowbrook Country Club. Her most rewarding job was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved baking, especially making trays of Christmas cookies to pass out to everyone. She enjoyed day trips with Eugene. Linda loved listening to music, especially the oldies, reading magazines, and sitting on her porch with Eugene watching birds. She loved talking about her kids and grandkids.     

Survivors include her daughters, Denise L. Rosenberger (William) of Ford City, Deanna A. Misho (Brian) of New Kensington; two sons, David E. Phillips (Tina) of Lower Burrell, Dr. Daniel M. Phillips (Donna) of Louisa, VA; seven grandchildren, Jaden Phillips (Kirsten), Logan Phillips, Alison Misho, Dr. Denise Whitacre (Andrew), Matthew Rosenberger, Zachary Marshall (Natalie), Kayla Barfield (John); seven great-grandchildren, Isla Phillips, Elliott Whitacre, Carter Whitacre, Camden Marshall, Max Marshall, Bennett Marshall, Gideon Barfield; a brother-in-law, Charles Phillips of New Kensington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Eugene F. “Checker” Phillips in 2019; and a brother, Eugene Ault.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with Pastor Gary J. Lyon celebrating. Private interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Gilpin Township.
