Leota C. (Huselton) Wolfe, 100, of Leechburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.

A daughter of the late John F. Huselton and Sarah Mary (Klingensmith) Huselton, she was born May 11, 1922 in Gilpin Township, PA.

Leota was a 1939 graduate of Leechburg High School where she was an honors student.  She had been employed as a clerk by Fishers Big Wheel in Allegheny Township for many years.  She was a member of the Forks Zion Lutheran Church in Gilpin Township, the Penn State Extension Group, and the former PTA of Gilpin Township.  Leota had also been a Cub Scout Den Mother at one time.  She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, baking, solving crossword puzzles and flea market shopping.

Survivors include a son, Dennis L. Wolfe (Peggy) of Gilpin Township; two daughters, Laurine D. Winslow of Gilpin Township, Melanie S. Burnheimer of Vandergrift; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leonard C. Wolfe in 2013; a son, John C. Wolfe in 2021; a son-in-law, William Winslow in 2000; a granddaughter, Sabrina C. Devereaux in 2013; two brothers, Kenneth E. Huselton, Melvin J. “Mel” Huselton; and a sister, Wanda L. Foster.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Sunday, August 28, from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 3 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.  Private interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Gilpin Township.
