Laura I. (Prunty) Ludwigsen, 77, of Allegheny Township, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville.

A daughter of the late John Robert Prunty and Anna Mary (Troup) Prunty, she was born October 24, 1947, in New Kensington, PA.

Laura had been employed as a child caregiver in Pittsburgh for over 25 years before retiring.  She also worked as a florist at one time after attending school in the art of flower arranging.  Laura was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg where she participated in the Women’s Club.  She enjoyed sewing, gardening and baking.

She is survived by her sister, Judy Pickens (Gary) of Raymond, Mississippi; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Ludwigsen in 2022; her twin sister, Linda Arlene Ludwigsen, and sister, Patricia Ann Wadsworth.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from Noon until the time of services beginning at 2 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with Deacon Amy Santoriello officiating.  Interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
