Laretta J. (Garmong) Cline

Laretta J. (Garmong) Cline, 85, of Kittanning, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Armstrong Rehab & Nursing Center in Kittanning.

A daughter of the late Edward R. Garmong and Grace O. (Shoup) Garmong, she was born August 3, 1936 in Emlenton, PA.

Laretta had worked as a seamstress and been employed by Big River in Kittanning and Leechburg Floral.  She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bethel Township.  She loved gathering together with her family especially at reunions.  Laretta’s passion was in cooking and baking for her family.  She also enjoyed flower gardening.

Survivors include her son, Daniel E. Cline (Pamela) of Bethel Township; a daughter, Debra Troup of Kittanning; five grandchildren, Kierra Cline, Donald Cline, Shalyn Hagelthorn, Dalenna Troup, Howard Troup; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Franklin W. Garmong of Templeton, Donald V. Garmong (Betty) of Templeton, and Larry P. Garmong (Cheryl) of Springdale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Cline Sr.; her son, Donald F. Cline Jr.; four brothers, Ralph L. Garmong, Harold E. Garmong, Edward R. Garmong Jr., Arnold L. Garmong; four sisters, Martha V. Garmong, Blanche L. Brode, Olive M. Morhac, and Alberta V. Bouch.

There will be no public visitation or funeral ceremonies.  The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 has been entrusted with private arrangements.
