Kenneth “Kenny” Wayne McCoy, 77, of Gilpin Township, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully at home on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Kenny was born December 5, 1945, to the late Russell and Dorothy (Beers) McCoy.
He attended Leechburg high school, then enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. He worked 30 years for Allegheny Ludlum Steel retiring in 2004. A year later, he came out of retirement to join his wife Lisa at Happy Day Cafe in Leechburg, where he was her best friend, right-hand-man, holiday decorator and the love of her life. He will be deeply missed. Kenny enjoyed going to and watching the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. He also loved being in command of the remote control to watch his favorite old classic TV shows, along with listening to the oldies, especially the music of the fifties. He had a way of making our house a home and giving the family many cherished memories.
