Kenneth Veryl Cook, 93, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Quality Life Services in Apollo.

A son of the late W. Raymond Cook and Margaret V. (Emahiser) Cook, he was born on September 25, 1932, in Vandergrift, PA.

Kenneth was a 1950 graduate of Vandergrift High School.  He worked for his Dad’s trucking company, moving furniture and picking up deliveries in Pittsburgh.  He married the love of his life, the late Marie (Rua) Cook, with whom he built a home in West Leechburg.

Kenneth worked as a pattern maker for the Hawk-Morrow Pattern Co. in West Leechburg, Unity Pattern Co. in Greensburg, and his longest tenure at the Latrobe Pattern Co. for 34 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, travel, and wood and metal working.  He loved nature and he especially loved to talk.

He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Smith (Robert) of Brackenridge; two grandchildren, Christina and Nicholas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia E. (Cook) Venturini; a grandson, Justin J. Hancock; and brothers, W. Alvin Cook Sr. and Robert E. Cook Sr.
