K. Sulinn (Steim) Mathews

K. Sulinn (Steim) Mathews, 78, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

A daughter of the late Robert Steim and Madolyn (Talmadge) Steim, she was born August 7, 1943, in Vandergrift, PA.

Sulinn had been employed in the Telecommunications Call Center at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh for 17 years before retiring in 2010.  She was a member of Forks-Zion Lutheran Church in Gilpin Township where she participated in the church choir. Sulinn enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and caring for her parrots, Spunky and Fozzie.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Robert “Bob” Mathews of Leechburg; a sister, Glenna Stitt (William) of Vandergrift; niece, Michele Craig (Mark) of Worthington; daughter-in-law, Laurie Mathews of Erie; two grandchildren, Christopher Mathews and Ashley Mathews; two aunts, Sylvia Fairman of Leechburg and Louise Steim of Kittanning; and numerous cousins.

The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) has been entrusted with all private arrangements. Donations in memory of Sulinn can be made to Forks-Zion Lutheran Church, 253 Forks Church Road, Leechburg, PA 15656.
