Joyce A. (Raney) Kotvas, 85, of West Leechburg, PA, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A daughter of the late Raymond A. Raney and Edith V. (Nichols) Raney, she was born September 24, 1938, in Leechburg.

Joyce had been employed by the State of Pennsylvania as a manager with U.E.C.  She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Leechburg.  Joyce enjoyed bowling, bingo and reading.

Survivors include her son, George D. Kotvas (Julie) of Canonsburg; a granddaughter, Jordan Lucy Kotvas; numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Raymond G. “George” Kotvas in 2021; and a brother, Raymond L. Raney.

Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051).   Private interment will be made at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in West Leechburg at the convenience of the family.
