Jo-Anne (Burnheimer) France, 81, of Leechburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in her home surrounded by her family.
A daughter of the late Ben and Lula B. (Conrad) Burnheimer, she was born March 2, 1940, in Indiana, PA.
Jo-Anne had been employed as a deli worker with the Community Market in Lower Burrell and as a shift supervisor with Unifirst Uniform Supply in New Kensington for 23 years before retirement. She was a Roman Catholic in faith. JoAnne enjoyed doing yard work and loved feeding the birds and deer. But she most treasured spending time with her grandchildren and getting together for family gatherings.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Clarence “Bud” France of Leechburg; three sons, Terry Verner (Kim) of Apollo, Raymond Verner of Kittanning, Dennis Verner of New Kensington; a daughter, Crystal France (Clyde Moore) of Leechburg; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ben Burnheimer (Elaine) of Cranberry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Verner; and a brother, Richard Burnheimer.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, Oct. 4, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051). A Blessing Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the funeral home, with Rev. Michael J. Sciberras officiating. Interment following at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
