Obituary
Janet Rose (Hollis) Held, 72, of Gilpin Township, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in her residence.
A daughter of the late Robert Hollis and Geraldine (Fulton) Hollis, she was born January 26, 1951 in Plum, PA.
Janet had been employed as an inspector for Compenectics in Monroeville before retirement. She was of the Catholic faith. She loved spending time with her husband Daniel, camping, sewing and knitting. Janet enjoyed vegetable gardening and growing over 100 cabbage plants and 100 tomato plants annually.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Daniel K. Held of Gilpin Township; her son, Mark Fahnestock of Plum; two grandchildren; and sisters, Patty McAllister (Gordon) and Betty Arner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Fahnestock; sisters, Virginia Russell and Ev Dunnivan Smith; and a brother, Ernie Hollis.
