Jane M. Cribbs, 90, of Kittanning, PA, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Premier Armstrong Rehab. & Nursing Center in Kittanning.
A daughter of the late Leo Moore Sr. and Sara (Strong) Moore, she was born September 15, 1931, in Leechburg.
Jane was a graduate of Leechburg High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a Bachelor of Education degree. For 16 years, she had been employed as a junior high teacher at Prince Georges County, MD, School District and in North Vandergrift before retiring in 1971. Jane was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg. She enjoyed playing the card games “Uno” and “Skipbo” with her lady friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Dover (Mark) of Ford City; two grandchildren, Mike Bowser (Hanna) and Sarah Dover; a great-grandson, Leo Bowser; and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Cribbs in 1970; a brother, Leo Moore Jr.; and a sister, Shirley Eckman.
The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main Street, Leechburg (724-842-1051) has been entrusted with a private family visitation, funeral ceremonies and interment at Vandergrift Cemetery. In memory of Jane, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 2835 East Carson St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
