James T. Yount, 84, of Mars, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at St. John’s Personal Care in Mars.

A son of the late Clair Thomas Yount and Helen Gladys (Hodgson) Yount, he was born on December 18, 1939, in Kittanning, PA.

James had been employed for 24 years as a roll turner by Wean United of Vandergrift before retiring in 2002 from the Hyde Park Foundry after 18 years of service. He was of the Lutheran faith.  James enjoyed hunting, reading, watching college football (especially Penn State), drag racing and going to car shows.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Judith A. (Costantino) Yount of Mars; a son, James Thomas Yount Jr. (Erin) of Manitou Springs, CO; a daughter, Pamala Sue Daskivich (Scott) of Mars; four grandchildren, Mikal (Mahila) Daskivich, Elena Daskivich, Mackenna Yount and Evan Yount.

There will be no public visitation or funeral ceremonies.  Private interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.
