Jack A. Froncek, 95, of West Leechburg, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, in his residence surrounded by loving family.

A son of the late Michael Froncek and Rose (Kacmarcik) Froncek, he was born July 25, 1927 in Vandergrift, PA.

Jack had been employed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge for 36 years prior to retirement in 1986.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Merchant Marines having served during World War II.  Jack was a former member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in East Vandergrift.  He was also a member of the East Vandergrift Slovak Club and the Vandergrift VFW Post 566.  Jack loved to tell vivid stories.  He was an avid walker who enjoyed feeding the birds and growing his own garlic.

Survivors include his three daughters, Rose A. Froncek of Natrona Heights, Mary Jane Miller (Dennis) of West Leechburg, Susan E. Kaszubski (Richard) of West Leechburg; and a special granddaughter, Brandy Fabry, as well as grandsons and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. (Giron) Froncek in Nov. 2020; brothers, Paul, John, Andrew; sisters, Rose, Helen, Mary, Josephine and Betty .

The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 has been entrusted with private viewing arrangements for the family.  Interment will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township.
