Obituary
Ida Mae (Lamison) George, 89, of Allegheny Township, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in her residence.
A daughter of the late James H. Lamison and Loey M. (Beckett) Lamison, she was born December 22, 1933 in Armstrong County, PA.
Ida Mae was a graduate of Freeport Area High School. She had been employed in the medical records Dept. at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights for over 20 years before retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Vandergrift Fire Dept. #2 Ladies’ Auxiliary, and the Leechburg Elks Lodge Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo and camping.
Survivors include her two sons, Chuck V. George (Brooke) of Vandergrift, Kenneth A. George of Brackenridge; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna M. McGuire (Charles “Pat”) of Allegheny Township.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent E. George; a son, Robert E. George; and three brothers, Wilbert, James and Russell Lamison.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with the Rev. James V. Arter III officiating. Private interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
