Helen Louise (Rarie) Warnick

Helen Louise (Rarie) Warnick, 93, of West Leechburg, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Kittanning Care Center.

A daughter of the late Clinton William Rarie and Birdie Elizabeth (Blewett) Rarie, she was born March 7, 1930, in West Leechburg, PA.

Helen had been employed as a warehouse worker by Learners Distribution Center in RIDC Park.  She was a member of Holy Innocents Anglican Church in Leechburg.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo and collecting dolls.

Survivors include her son, Terry L. Warnick (Beth) of Kittanning Township; her daughters, Linda E. Sappe (Eugene) of Gilpin Township, Nancy Eyler (Joel) of Allegheny Township, Trudy E. Hemphill (Tim) of Springdale; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Harry Joseph Warnick in 2018; a grandson, Jason E. Sappe; sisters, June Sciullo, Trudy Zidek; step-sisters, Kathleen “Sis” Miskinis and Doris Odasso.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 18, at 10 a.m. in Holy Innocents Anglican Church, 366 Third St., Leechburg, with the Rev. Colleen Klingensmith as celebrant.  Interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township.
