Gregory C. Cevario, 65, of Markle, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022, at DCI Harmar Village in Cheswick.
A son of the late Charles Cevario and Ann (Solonichne) Cevario, he was born March 25, 1956, in Natrona Heights, PA.
Greg had been employed by Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Vandergrift as a slitter/operator for 43 years until retiring in 2018. He was a family man who liked watching his sons play football and hockey, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially at the holidays with all his favorite holiday foods. Greg loved traveling and looked forward to his annual family trip to Treasure Lake in DuBois. He was fond of going to camp for fishing with his buddies and watching football with his sons and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Deborah A. (Allen) Cevario of Markle; four sons, Matthew S. Cevario (Kay) of Hyde Park, Michael G. Cevario (Laura) of Apollo, Dan P. Smith (James) of Springdale, Matt L. Smith (Lauren) of Natrona Heights; a daughter, Stephanie Waltenbaugh (Scott) of Vandergrift; twelve grandchildren, Robert, Cameron, Alexa, Jacob, Ben, Eleanor, Zachary, Destin, Kody, Catalina, Jesse, Alvin; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Elaine A. Lappa (Samuel) of Allegheny Township; Godmother and aunt, Helen Hepler (Larry) of West Leechburg; a nephew, Dominic Lappa (Michelle) of Washington, PA; and a cousin, Lisa Cook (Kirk) of Natrona Heights.
Friends will be welcomed by his family on Thursday, Mar. 3, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. There will be no funeral ceremonies. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
