Evelyn B. (Nulph) McGuire

Evelyn B. (Nulph) McGuire, 92, formerly of Vandergrift, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Concordia of Cabot.

A daughter of the late Burnell Nulph and Beatrice (Henry) Nulph, she was born on August 2, 1933, in Schenley, PA.

Evelyn was a 1952 graduate of Leechburg High School, a homemaker and of the Lutheran faith.  She enjoyed square dancing, shopping with her friends and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three sons, Bryan “Buz” Byers, Cornel “Corry” Byers and Charles “Chip Byers, all of Vandergrift; a stepson, David McGuire Jr. (Luann) of Washington Township; two stepdaughters, Crystal Lamison of Ford City, Patty Dearman (Danny) of Virginia; four grandchildren, Justin Rishel (Lori), Angela Geltz (Matt), Breanna Stitt (Joe), Madalynn Byers; four great-grandchildren, Jackson Geltz, Kolton Geltz, Nicolas Geltz, Theo Stitt; and a brother, Kenneth Nulph (Cheryl) of Allegheny Township.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David N. McGuire Sr. in 2009; daughters, Bonita “Bonny” Peters, Candice “Candy” Byers; stepdaughter, Cheryl Ament; brothers, James, William and Robert Nulph.

Friends will be welcomed by the family on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 1 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051, with Pastor Christine Bridge officiating.  Private interment will be held at Brookland Cemetery in Allegheny Township.
