Emilio S. Perez, 89, of Cabot, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in his residence.

A son of the late Cecario Perez and Angela (Santana) Perez, he was born October 6, 1934 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Emilio was a veteran having served during the Korean War while in the U.S. Army.  He also served six years in the U.S. Navy following his Army service.  He had been employed as a welder by Allegheny Ludlum Steel in West Leechburg for over 20 years before retiring in 1996.  He was a member of Hebron Evangelical Lutheran Church in Leechburg.  Emilio was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and a general handyman.  He most liked spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Judith A. (Cribbs) Perez of Cabot; a son, Robb Douglas Perez of Carrollton, Texas; a sister, Minerva Serrano (Johnny) of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Alan Perez in 2023; and eight brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Concordia Haven One, 112 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023.  Also on Saturday, friends will be welcomed by his family from 5-6 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.  Private interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell.
