Elizabeth I. “Betty” (Butler) Busler, 86, of Allegheny Township, passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.
A daughter of the late George Butler and Mary (Gibson) Butler, she was born March 6, 1936 in New Kensington, PA.
Betty was a 1954 graduate of Leechburg Area High School. She had been employed by Dr. Duppstadt’s office in the late 1950s and then by Duppstadt Vision Associates from 1995-2014. She also worked for Nu-Calgon. Betty was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Leechburg and the Junior Women’s Club in Allegheny Township. She treasured spending time with her children and grandchildren. Betty enjoyed baking, painting ceramics, solving word search puzzles, relaxing on her porch and decorating her home for the holidays.
Survivors include her three sons, Dale C. Busler (Mary) of Alton, IL, Douglas W. Busler of Apollo, Dennis C. Busler (Karen) of Gilpin Township; her daughter, Darlene M. Potter (Brian) of Allegheny Township; ten grandchildren, Haley and Hannah Potter, Danny & Bob Drum, Erica Busler, Niki Busler, Kelsey Busler, Bobi Berry, Jacob and Dylan Busler; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Charles C. Busler in 1995; and three brothers, Perry, Harry and Alvin Butler.
Friends will be welcomed by her family on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 10, at the funeral home with Rev. Colleen Klingensmith officiating. Private interment will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Allegheny Township.
