Elizabeth Ann Hausele, 51, passed away in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 after a long and hard-fought illness. She was the faithful and devoted wife to her husband of 29 years, Raymond E. Hausele, Jr, loving mother to her three beautiful children, Bethany, Jessica, and Andrew Hausele, and adoring “grandmama” to her grandson, James Devine III.

Elizabeth was born in Fort Dix, New Jersey to parents Richard and Olive (Covington) Merta. She is survived by her husband Raymond, children Bethany, Jessica, and Andrew, grandson James, brothers Dr. Steven (AnnMarie) Merta of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christopher (Mary) Merta of Binghamton, New York, sister Margaret (Jeff) Mudd of El Cajon, California, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Catherine D. Lontz.

Those who knew her will remember her as always having a smile and always willing to go out of her way to help others when she could. She genuinely loved to work in retail customer service because she found a friend in every customer. She dedicated her life to raising her family and giving her children memories that will forever be cherished. Elizabeth was quite literally the glue to her family, being the driving force to the unbreakable bond her children and husband share and dancing, singing, laughing, and joking her way to every destination life took them.  She will forever be loved and missed.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 from 6-8 p.m., and again on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 6-8 p.m. at the Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051.  A blessing service will be held on Friday, Sept. 23, at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James H. Loew, O.S.B. officiating.  Interment following at St. Paul Cemetery in Trauger, PA.
