Edith L. (Mills) Walker, 88, of Gilpin Township, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Ross Memory Meadows in Gilpin Township surrounded by Ashley, Heather, and Jonathan.

A daughter of the late Arthur Mills and Lillian (Dawson) Mills, she was born August 14, 1935, in New Kensington, PA.

Edith was a homemaker and member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Lower Burrell and the Schenley American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and dice, going to camp, bird watching, solving crossword puzzles, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Mark Mills (the late Joni Mills) of Allegheny Township, Lawrence Walker (Denise) of East Vandergrift; a sister, Joyce Robinson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald Walker; a son, William Walker (Joanne); a brother, Thomas Mills; and sisters, Juanita McGinis, Betty Adams, Nelly Mae Scherf, June Rowe, Dolores Evans, and Jacquelyn Wilks.

Friends will be welcomed by her family on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies beginning at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 150 Alder St., Lower Burrell, PA 15068, with Pastor Clint Phillips officiating.  The Clawson Funeral & Cremation Center, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051 has been entrusted with arrangements.  Interment will be private.
